I really love white on white and this card just makes my heart swoon. The tiny falling flakes were created using the Softly Falling Embossing Folder (139672) from our annual catalog and I cut the inlaid tree using a tree from our

Snowflakes, Christmas Trees, Both Must Haves in My Stash
Good Sunday afternoon. My daughters and I are getting ready to make our favorite Christmas cookies and while I wait for them to arrive I thought I'd take a moment to share one of my latest creations with you.
In the Woods Framelits that are part of the Winter Woods Bundle (149992) found in the holiday catalog. The decorative snowflakes are cut using a die that was part of a limited time special that ended in November, but no worries, there are plenty of snowflakes to choose from with a current die in the holiday catalog. It's found on page 39 and this die is also part of a bundle, namely Beautiful Blizzard (149921).

Having Fun Imagining Today with Mistletoe Season
I just returned from a San Francisco vacation and am bursting with the need to create all the cards I’ve been imagining while I was away. Taking some time away from “life” was a treat and something I need to do on a more regular basis. What about you? Do you take time away from the serious side of life very often? It’s so refreshing! I hope you enjoy my creativity and I’d love to know what you think😉
I’m not sure if you are so into our Holiday Catalog that you’ve forgotten about all the wonderful Christmas merchandise in our Annual Catalog, but in case you haven’t thumbed through our main idea book, the wreath I’ve made is using the Seasonal Wreath Embossing Folder (146833) on page 223. I did fussy cut it and then adhered it with our Multipurpose Glue (110755). I colored the Rhinestones (144220) with the Dark Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blend (146879) and added some Gold Metallic Pearls (146282) and Frosted Epoxy Drops (147801). I finished off my card with the Real Red 3/8” Mixed Satin Ribbon (147894). The epoxy drops and ribbon are both from the holiday catalog, but again, the annual catalog won my choice for my sentiment. Check out Mistletoe Season (146768) on page 95. Oh, and I used the Thick Whisper White Cardstock (140272).
As you “celebrate the season” check out the ingredients for this card. The star of this card IS from the Holiday Catalog. This designer series paper is the All is Bright DSP (147892) and I love everything about it! From the photographic sheets to the printed ones, it’s just lucious! You’ll want to be sure to get some packages for your own stash, before they’re gone forever in a few short weeks. The card base and label are Poppy Parade Cardstock (119793). The sentiment is cut from Thick Whisper White Cardstock and the layers of labels are cut using my Bigshot (143263) with the Stitched Labels Framelits (146828). The circle piece is cut from the Sparkle Glimmer Paper (146957). I attached the sentiment piece to the glimmer piece using Mini Glue Dots (103683). Oh, and once again, the stamp set I used is Mistletoe Season (146768).

I’m Thankful for So Much
Signs of Christmas
Santas elves are very busy! I love this how cute this stamp set is! I can customize it any way I want, and then I can use my Bigshot to cut my pieces and assemble my cards and projects (with the coordinating framelits) to send to my friends and family. This set has been added to my “favorites” stash and I’ll be using it for a very long time! The colors I’ve used for the elves is Call Me Clover which coordinates beautifully with Real Red. I used some of my leftover snowflakes from a previous project on this blog. The Blizzard Thinlits Die will be joining my stash, too. The DSP (Designer Series Paper) that coordinates beautifully with the red and green here is actually in the Annual Catalog on page 189. Check out Under the Mistletoe and let me know what YOU think.

Beautiful Blizzard Bundle by Stampin' Up!
I absolutely love the thinlit in this bundle. Keep scrolling down to check out some other things that I'VE done with this amazing tool!
I cut the Happy Birthday sentiment and then using my Flirty Flamingo, Pool Party and Highland Heather Stampin' Blends I colored the phrase |
Here it is popped out |
I layered cardstock, added that birthday sentiment and embelished with some snowflakes that were left behind from the making of that template and blinged it up with some rhinestones |
Here's a Christmas card I made with the negative piece, sponging a little bolder for the background |

Colorizing Holiday #SpiritedSnowmen
One of my favorite new colors in this catalog is the Granny Apple Green. Hence, this is what I've come up with using this color. The Cardstock is from the Brights collection (item #146990) as is the DSP (item #146964) and I colorized the Rhinestones (item #144220) with...what else...my Granny Apple Green Blend (Dark) (item #147274). LOVE, LOVE, LOVE doing this! Custom colors using what I have on hand! YES!!!!
And did you notice the stamp? What? Couldn't find it in the annual catalog? How about looking in the new Holiday Catalog? That's right. This catalog went live earlier this month and now you have the opportunity to get this exclusive snowman set. These guys/girls are so adorable! I always have to have a snowman set in my stash and this is the perfect one. You can find it on page 38. Order using either item #148072 (clear mount) or item #148075 (wood mount) so you can start creating today.
Below are a couple other ways I colored these cute snowmen. The one on the left is the colors of Mizzou, since that's one of the best colleges in Missouri. You could do it, obviously, for any school colors, right?! This technique just makes me smile. I love neon lights and these just remind of those so much!
Show me what you come up with. I'd love to see what you can do!

Emboss Colorizing Using Stampin' Blends
Seriously, are you loving the Stampin' Blends? I am absolutely enamored with them. Obviously I love that they can be "blended" to give a truly artistic look to my coloring projects, but the other aspect that I love is that they can colorize our rhinestones, pearls, buttons, and now look...they can colorize my heat embossed projects!
To make this card I took a piece of black cardstock, embossed my flowers from Touches of Texture (item #143251) with White Embossing Powder (item #109132) after stamping in Versamark Ink (item #102283). Then I colored on the embossed flowers with Pumpkin Pie (item #144599), Lovely Lipstick (item #147281), Daffodil Delight (item #144603) and Old Olive (item #144597) Blends. I chose the dark markers (each Combo comes in a light and dark marker) because I wanted that "neon" pop of color.
I'm continually learning to add texture to my projects and with this card I cut the background circles using one of the scallop circles in our Layering Circles Framelit Dies (item #141705) and added the texture with the coordinating ink.
I wanted my sentiment to pop so I left the embossing white. This greeting came from the Best Birds stamp set (item #141525).
Let me know what you think😁

Anniversary Wishes with Blueberry Bushel
How many of you have seen the new Blueberry Bushel? It's the new blue. It's in our 2018-2020 In Color collection and I'm extremely happy with it's arrival in the Annual Catalog. We've needed this shade of blue since we lost Brilliant Blue...and now we have it!
My card I'm sharing with you today is an anniversary card for my daughter and son-in-law. Tomorrow they're celebrating 14 years of marriage, which is awesome and I'm excited that I'm able to give them their gift in my own personal creation.
We are giving them a gift card so I wanted to make a card with a pocket to hold it in place and I wanted to do something different, so this is what I've come up with...
I cut my cardstock 11"X7" and then I scored it at 3 3/4", 5 1/2", and 7 1/4".
I then cut along the 5 1/2" scoreline from 1 3/4" to 5 1/4", creating the slot for the gift card
After folding the cardstock in a mountain fold
Now the gift card is secure in it's little pocket, ready to be found by Shannon and Matt.
If you have any questions about the fold, or anything else, drop me a comment. I'd love to hear from you.

I secured the pocket with Tear and Tape on the inner front flap of the card, right next to the scoreline
and also on the outside of the card along the outer edge of the "backbone" of the card.

Takeout Treats Bundle is NOT just for Halloween
As I was deciding how to present the Soot Technique (seen in previous video on my blog) with the Takeout Treats bundle in the new Holiday Catalog, I knew I had to showcase the versatility of this duo. It can easily be used not only for Halloween, but for birthdays, Christmas, Valentine's Day and more. Use your imagination...
I know how important it is to get value for what you spend your money on and this is an excellent set that does just that! Here I am with my display board. I'll showcase some of the cards and boxes below and you tell me, am I right?
Check out this bundle in the catalog on page 50 of the Holiday Catalog, item #149990 (clear mount) and #149989. Feel free to share any comments.

Thank You All at Once
I attended our annual Vacation Stamping School last Saturday, as I think I mentioned in my previous post and I wanted to thank all the women that made the day possible, from the planning, the ideas, the projects we made, and the guest speakers that were there. They executed the day flawlessly and I wanted to be sure to thank them with what else...a handmade card😃
I love the host set I used here. It's called Hand Delivered, and I'm hoping you see the humor in that as I actually delivered it via social media😂

Vacation Stamping School and the Soot Technique
I was very fortunate to get to attend Vacation Stamping School that my upline #MegLoven organized along with Julie Davison and Mary Ellen Stites. I gave a demonstration on the Soot Technique and Julie was kind enough to video my demonstration so I thought you’d like to get in on this technique, too. Now, I know it’s still summer and I’m not trying to rush the season, but we can never be too prepared for what’s to come, right?! Let me know what you think and if you have any questions, let me know. As always, be safe and use caution when there is fire involved. Enjoy 😉

Gorgeous Grape and a Happy Accident
While I realize it's been a long while since I've posted anything I've made, trust me, I've been creating and sharing, but just needed some time to internalize and work through the things that are going on in my life these days. My husband and I are continuing to learn more about dementia (after his mom was diagnosed just under a year ago) and how to accept that, for now, it is what it is. As a nurse I try, at least in my mind, to fix everything, to make it better. It has been the hardest thing to realize that no matter what, there is no fix for this heinous disease. It's the most evil of thieves and dealing with it is, at times, simply unbearable.
So, on that note, part of my self-induced therapy has been to stamp, continue meeting with my friends in club for group stamping, and to work on acceptance on a daily basis of this dreaded diagnosis of dementia.
My card below is kind of a happy accident. I was working with our Glossy Card Stock (144240) and our new Gorgeous Grape Ink (147099) when my daughter called. We had a great conversation and when the call ended I resumed my project. By that time, although the ink was "mostly" wet still, some had dried to the point that I could no longer work it into the card stock. I decided I'd let the project take me where it would and continued to add and sponge the ink and this is what happened. Kind of abstractly cool, if you ask me:)
I embellished with the Black Mini Sequin Trim (144259) and the Designer Series Paper I stamped my sentiment on is from the 2018-2020 In Color group (146963). I popped the circle up with Dimensionals (104430). The circle is cut using the Stitched Shapes Framelits (145372).
Let me know if you like my card, and try making one on your own. It's uber easy and really lends to some thought provocation on just how that card was made:)

2018 Color Revamp
I just received news from Stampin' Up! that I can share something exciting with you all. I'm very excited to share with you that we are having a COLOR REVAMP this year, when our new catalog goes live in June!!!
This means that some of the core colors that we have will be leaving and new ones will be coming in their place.
What does this mean to you? If some of the colors that you love are leaving be sure to get them, be it inks, cardstock, coordinating embellishments, etc. If you have stamp pads, but don't have the ink refills, you'll want to make sure you get the refills.
Another thing that is happening is we are having a change in the actual ink pads (including the style) that will be available in the new catalog. The formula for the ink is changing, too, with the main change being that a defoamer will be added to the ink, which will give us an even smoother inked image than we currently have. This new ink is different from the current ink so the current ink refills will NOT be compatible. Be sure to get your current refills before they're gone!
Also, in addition to the NEW COLORS coming, if there are any current "BUNDLES" that are on your wishlist, get them ordered! The components may be available in the new catalog, but Stampin' Up! has added a whole LOT of new bundles, so the current bundles will be leaving us. What does this mean? With bundles you save 10% so this discount will go away when you have to order the components separately. Capisce? As usual, the new bundles will have this discount.
You are going to love this new catalog, and this new year!
Like I said, this upcoming year is going to be exciting, so hold on and enjoy the ride!
Click the link below to check it out!!

My Creative Corner
I'm sure, as a stamper, regardless of how long you've been stamping or how involved you are in the craft, you still crave that space that is completely dedicated to YOU. I know that when I started doing this more than 15 years ago, and all I had was my kitchen table in my tiny house of 800 square feet, I dreamt of the day that I had an actual room to spread out in. Well, 3 houses and many moons later I'm here, and I'm here BIG! For my Christmas gift my hubby surprised me with this. Well, actually he said my gift was redoing my craft studio and he gave me free reign. HOLY COW!
Not long after Christmas I headed to our local Container Store and checked out the Elfa that was on sale at the time. I looked at all the possibilities and quickly became overwhelmed. I did, however, set up an appointment to come back to talk to a consultant so we could design my space with her expertise.
I knew the general layout and I knew I wanted everything that I use all the time to be within reach, or at least, only a few steps away. Within a very short time, this is what we came up with and now I just needed it put it place.

The installer came a week later (which gave me enough time to sort out everything that stayed (and went). WOW! How refreshing to be able to make the decision to "let it go" so someone else could fall in love, the way I have, with stamping and all the possibilities, as I donated my (gasp) unused and retired supplies. Of course, I kept A LOT of what I had, but you know, as well as I, if you forgot you even had it or you look at it over and over and never use it, it needs to go. LOL!
I'm excited to share this with you and I look forward to this new year of stamping, especially with the new catalog coming in June. I've had several opportunities to check out my picks and what will be my new additions to my 'Creative Corner' and cannot wait to get my order in! I'm glad you came to see what I'm up to and I'll see you soon.
