Gorgeous Grape and a Happy Accident

While I realize it's been a long while since I've posted anything I've made, trust me, I've been creating and sharing, but just needed some time to internalize and work through the things that are going on in my life these days.  My husband and I are continuing to learn more about dementia (after his mom was diagnosed just under a year ago) and how to accept that, for now, it is what it is.  As a nurse I try, at least in my mind, to fix everything, to make it better.  It has been the hardest thing to realize that no matter what, there is no fix for this heinous disease.  It's the most evil of thieves and dealing with it is, at times, simply unbearable.

So, on that note, part of my self-induced therapy has been to stamp, continue meeting with my friends in club for group stamping, and to work on acceptance on a daily basis of this dreaded diagnosis of dementia.

My card below is kind of a happy accident.  I was working with our Glossy Card Stock (144240) and our new Gorgeous Grape Ink (147099) when my daughter called.  We had a great conversation and when the call ended I resumed my project.  By that time, although the ink was "mostly" wet still, some had dried to the point that I could no longer work it into the card stock.  I decided I'd let the project take me where it would and continued to add and sponge the ink and this is what happened.  Kind of abstractly cool, if you ask me:)

I embellished with the Black Mini Sequin Trim (144259) and the Designer Series Paper I stamped my sentiment on is from the 2018-2020 In Color group (146963).  I popped the circle up with Dimensionals (104430). The circle is cut using the Stitched Shapes Framelits (145372).

Let me know if you like my card, and try making one on your own.  It's uber easy and really lends to some thought provocation on just how that card was made:)
