Thank You is Simple, Yet Elegant!!

One of the most important ways to show appreciation for something someone has done for you is to send a simple thank you.  What better way to make that "Thank You" even more special than by sending a hand-stamped card?  The bottom card I see as an elegant event thanks, and of course, with the holly embossing around the edge of the top card, I was thinking Christmas thanks.  So if you need some simple, yet personal cards to make and send, consider something like this!

Have fun, avoid stress like the plague and enjoy your holiday!

#NontraditionalChristmasColor #CrushedCurry #DazzlingDiamonds #GlimmerPaper #Penguin

You know how sometimes you only want to hide away in your craft area and create or copy something new? That's exactly how this little penguin came to be:)  I used the Owl Builder Punch and the Large Oval Punch, as well as the Oval Punch.

I layered the Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper strips using the Dimensionals on the lower one.

I couldn't find the right "Merry Christmas" stamp, although I know I had plenty of options with all of my stamps on the shelf, but none of them were saying, "pick me, pick me".
So I cut the merry from one of our past framelits, masked off the happy from our stamp set, 'Oh, What Fun' in the Holiday Catalog and that was just the ticket!!

I hope wherever you are, on this Black Friday that you're staying warm, dry and most of all...happy:)

#HappyThanksgiving

I was getting ready for my vendor fair in October and I was going through some boxes of cards from the past.  What a trip down memory lane!

I found this scare crow and the memories just starting flooding back like wild.

I did not come up with this idea, but I definitely enjoyed making it every step of the way.  Thank you to the demonstrator from years gone by for your creativity and imagination.  I wish I knew who you were because you deserve all the credit for this one!

I love it when punches can be repurposed, like the bird punch, using the wings for the eyes, and the large oval for the mouth.  Oh, and how about the hearts for the crows feet and the circle for the beaks.

I love sponging to add dimension and texture and there is a LOT of that on this card!  The background was made using the crimper we used to sell.  Sure wish we had that tool in the catalog still.  Sponging with Whisper White Craft Ink gave that piece of blue cardstock the look of an old tin building.

Looking at this card and enjoying it like it was a new creation again just makes my heart smile. I'm definitely going to have to get more "artsy" again.  So much fun!!!!

I hope you all have a great Thanksgiving and all your holiday wishes and dreams come true!

#NewFriends, #CenterStage, #OnStage

These 3 cards are swaps made by another demonstrator.  I had already swapped all of mine, so I could only "pixel" these.  Aren't they adorable?!

I was so fortunate to get to listen to Bonnie Farley give a presentation at my first CenterStage Event.  I love her to the moon and back and will always search her out to hear her "lectures".

Swaps made by other demonstrators that were on the board at OnStage Local in San Diego, CA.  Simply gorgeous!!!

A Little Stampin' Therapy Does A Lot of Good!

Ahhh, after a fun-filled, yet hectic weekend at our first Onstage Local event Jan and I were able to sit and create some cards for our new and dear Stampin' Sista, Chockie Simons.

I have to say, I completely enjoyed Center Stage with Bonnie Farley.  I met some great gals, had some yummy food and learned several things I will bring into my business.

I loved the way Stampin Up! introduced new tools to us and then gave us the opportunity to "play" with those cool tools!

I will soon be able to share all of this with you😆  Stay tuned for some incredible stampin' magic!

Til then, create away😊

Curvy Keepsake "Book To Look" Boxes

These are my "book to look" creations for this time around.  I found the ideas on Pinterest and went from there.  I love the black glimmer paper as well as all of the other options we have!

I've put prize notes on the bottom of these cute little Curvy Keepsake boxes that can be peeled off so the recipient can use these boxes for "whatever" they want.

To make the snowman hats I used my circle framelit (2 3/4") to cut the black Glimmer Paper and then punched out the center of the circle with the Word Window Punch.  I cut 2 pieces of Black Card Stock (for each snowman) that was 2 1/2" X 2" and scored up 1/2" from the bottom--this was how I attached the brim to the "stovepipe" portion of the hat.  Then I rounded the top corners and glued the sides and top together with multipurpose adhesive.  You'll want to avoid gluing the "whole" top as you need a place for the box handle to slide into the hat so it will sit on the snowman's head.  Finally I embellished with a red glimmer paper heart and 1/8" red striped ribbon.  The circles and the heart are punched using the Owl Builder Punch and I freehanded the carrot nose.  I added the eyelashes with the black Stampin' Write Marker and the eye reflections with the Chalk Marker.

Looking forward to sharing this craft with some newbies!!
More pix to follow after the event today;)

Vendor Fair # 3

I'm preparing for my third vendor event this year and am really excited about this one.  I was excited about the others, but with this one I feel I have learned a lot from those previously and am ready to bring my handmade items to the show.  Here is a sneak peak of some of my adventures in creating this week:

Don't you just love the bundle in the Holiday Catalog, which includes the stamp set, Snow Place, and the framelits, Snow Friends?  So adorable and I know the most perfect project my granddaughter, Madeleine, and I are going to make;)

I want to give a special thanks to Tana McLaird who has graciously offered to lend her home for this event. Tana is a Premier Jewelry Consultant and I'm looking forward to working with her to make this a successful event.  I'll also be joined by consultants from Pampered Chef, Tastefully Simple, Cabi, A Wreath for Every Door, Young Living, Rodan + Fields, and more.  YOU SHOULD COME AND CHECK US OUT!!

The address is: 361 Mission Bay Court  in Wildwood, MO.

I also want to say thank you to Dawn Griffith, a Stampin' Up! demonstrator whom I have admired for quite some time, who was generous in sharing the instructions for these cute little scarecrow Curvy Keepsake Boxes.

I'll be back in the next day or so to share more of my creations.  Until then, have a wonderful evening and I'll see you soon!
