Under My Umbrella

If you saw my earlier post using the bundle Under My Umbrella, you saw that beautiful rainbow DSP, and as mentioned before, our coordinating DSP ‘Pleased as Punch’, goes with so many of our stamps in the Spring Mini catalog.  Not to mention, it also coordinates with our tools and in this instance the punch that’s included in the bundle.  How cute is that print on the umbrella?!  LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this DSP!  Oh, how I adore simplicity especially when it’s beautiful!  Anything that can make my life easier, bring it on!
I used many of the same tools and embellishments on this card, and the look is very different.  I obviously changed up the complimentary color to Calypso Coral for a bit of pep and I popped on the flowers from Flower Faceted Gems to get that added interest and texture.
How lucky am I that I have these things in my wheelhouse?!  I love being part of this fabulous company, Stampin’ Up!  Such creativity abounds and I know for sure that my life has been forever changed because of it.

Rainbow Umbrella

There's always a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, right...every cloud has a silver lining, right?  With the crisis of an uncontrolled virus that's infecting the world around us, we must remain positive that #Covid19 will be halted and we will somehow learn how to contain it in a way that will return our freedoms.  I'm sure there will be so much learned from all of this chaos, so at least there's that.

While all of the leaders of our world are working to figure out how to change the way we do things to make our world healthier and to, in some way, bring this all back to a manageable level, I'm choosing to find a way to keep my spirit positive.  I've always turned to my stamping to help de-stress, and once again,  this is my go to therapy.
I'm in love with the coordinating Designer Series Paper (DSP), Pleased as Punch (item# 153558) that goes with many of our Spring Mini Catalog offerings.  The rainbow paper just elevates my umbrella and boots from the Under My Umbrella bundle (item# 153786).  To add depth and texture to my card I've embossed with Parisian Beauty folder (item# 151474) and layered my umbrella and boots on my DSP and Sparkle Glimmer Paper cut with our Stitched Rectangle framelits (item# 148551).

Have a lovely day in your neighborhood and find a way to de-stress so this doesn't drive you to madness.  Stamping is a lovely way to do this.  Enjoy and smile!  We WILL get through this!!!

Retired Product is Completely Relevant

As a demonstrator I typically use current product since it’s what I can sell.  Recently, I’ve been having a blast going to my retired stashes, because they are completely relevant and this gives my projects the versatility that I crave.  How many times have you looked for something to use on a card and then realized that “awe, that’s retired”?  Not a problem.  Make your project with confidence, and then change it up using current product, if you so desire, to help your friends see how versatile our choices are.

In my card I’ve used the retired stamp set, Stylin’ Girl and the retired Designer Series Papers in the Brights and Subtles assortments, but hey, this is so easy to change up to current offerings, so don’t be afraid to use what you have!

In my product list you’ll find some of the things I’ve used to create my cards, and this is just a sampling of what you can find.  Use your imagination and be creative, have fun, and make something you love.  Go with confidence and follow your ❤️

Painted Poppies Coming Soon!

When I saw this bundle in the upcoming Mini Catalog that goes live on January 3, 2020, I instantly fell in love.  Poppies are one of my favorite flowers and although I have yet to be successful in growing them from seed longer than a season, I just adore their tender petals and beautiful colors!  I like that Stampin’ Up! has showcased this bundle in a color combination that includes Poppy Parade red.  This is also one of my favorites!  Red is my favorite color, and this is a favorite shade!

I designed this card during the Christmas season and gold was on my festive mind, so I cut my embellishment from our Gold Foil Sheets and added a “pop” of bling with the new Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels (also coming soon in the new mini).
When you see the new catalog, you will be amazed.  I know the creators at Stampin’ Up! have been having a blast designing the projects you will see throughout this publication and I know you’ll have just as much fun, if not more, getting your hands on these products.
Also, Stampin’ Up! has done something super amazing with this catalog.  When you get your copy in hand, or when you see it online, check out the index in the back!  I absolutely love the layout of this reference tool and I can’t imagine that this won’t be a continuous offering.  SUPER EXCITED!
