Poinsettia Petals Cards Two Ways

Is there anyone out there that doesn't like poinsettias? For me, they're a Christmas tradition that continue to enamour me year after year. When I saw that Stampin' Up! had created a Poinsettia Petals Bundle for this holiday season I was so excited! As you saw in my previous post I used this set and here it is again!

The opportunity to bring these beautiful plants to life is just magical. To do them justice is a challenge that I love to take on and I am very happy with my cards I'll show today.

This first card has my poinsettia made using Foil Sheets and the second card I stamped in Cherry Cobbler and then used my Water Painter to colorize the leaves/flowers.

I layered my poinsettias on a background of the Plush Poinsettia Specialty Paper.

I used Cherry Cobbler cardstock to cut the berries and red rhinestones to add a pop of color to my card as well as to make the center flower for my poinsettia.

I needed some bling for my second card so I used my retired red glimmer paper and then I grabbed the upcoming Heat and Stick Powder to adhere my Dazzling Diamonds Glitter to my poinsettia petals.
Thanks for visiting today and let me know if there is a particular stamp set or embellishment you would like to see and I'm happy to delve into a project just for you!
Happy Holidays!
