Simple Thank You &Sparkly Butterflies

The Happy Happenings stamp set is such a great sentiment set.  I really like the fonts and just the messages themselves.

I wanted to create a simple, yet elegant card that really relayed my gratitude.  If you wanted a more masculine card you could certainly remove the butterflies and the strips of glimmer paper.

It's really nice to be able to change up the strips of color that accent the card using the scalloped tag topper punch, rather than just having "straight" pieces, don't you think?

And I really like the Early Espresso brown ink with the Lost Lagoon blue.

Enjoy creating today.  Take some time for you because when you are at peace, so is your world!

Friendship is a Sheltering Tree

I really like this stamp, Sheltering Tree.  All kinds of options and here is the 3rd card we made for ur RMHC event.  It's WAYYYY simple, but it's message is clear.  I wanted a fall card and the Rose Red and Crushed Curry leaves against the Early Espresso tree were just the right choices.

Cards for a Cause

Okay, this was a great idea!  Getting some amazing people together for this day to make cards for those who will benefit in a very good way.  Here are some pix of these peeps getting their stampin' on.  Oh, and my grandsons also joined us toward the end.  So creative!!
The lineup of cards we put together

All was quiet the day before;)

      LET THE FUN BEGIN!

Thank you, Carolyn, Nikki, Shanti, Phyllis, Marcia, Shannon, MaryLee, Elaine, Julie, Isaiah, Liam and Eli, for making this a huge success. You all make my heart happy!

Elaine is on the left in the pic above and I haven't seen her for 2 years, what with work and travel time, etc.  It was so wonderful to rekindle our friendship.  Can't wait to see her next time!

I love it when stampers come together to do this. The addition of ideas not thought about and different ways to do something is so cool! Always something to learn and see and do.

Phyllis came all the way from Bridgeton to stamp with us.  I met her at the Milk Donor Dash Vendor Fair about 3 weeks ago and I can tell we will be great friends!

Isaiah had no idea he liked to stamp.  He ended  making 5 cards and it was so refreshing to watch how his uninhibited creativity unfolded.  I definitely need to do some classes for just the kids!

Julie is SOOO good at this!  She's only been stamping with me for a short time, but her skills are above and beyond that of a newbie!  Very glad she's part of our group!
Isaiah is giving the twins a lesson and they are soaking it up!  Their mom, Shannon, is to Isaiah's right and she was able to actually take a little time to stamp, too:)

Again, thank you everyone for making this event such a success and I'm looking forward to doing it again next year!

Sprinkles Are Better with Sparkle

This is the second of the cards we'll be making at my RMHC Cards for a Cause event.  I love when there's a coordinating punch involved!!  I don't mind fussy cutting (see the cone), but punches rock! And who said ice cream can't sparkle.  Right?

Enjoy your Friday and have a stampendous weekend;)

Ombre Your Way Today

A few years ago Stampin' Up! switched from the felt ink pads to the foam pads and I LOVE THEM.  There is a huge difference in the amount of ink you get on your stamp, which allows this ombre effect I got on the ice cream.  That's right, it's all Watermelon Wonder, just stamped off with each scoop of ice cream.  How cool is that? "WAY", I say;)

So what are you going to "ombre" today?

If you haven't yet purchased this stamp set, remember, you're helping the Ronald McDonald House Charities when you do!!

Have a groovy stampin' day:)

Ronald McDonald House Stamping for a Cause

I was fortunate to sign on with a company, namely #stampinup that gives back to several causes in our world.  The one that I learned about several years ago was the Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC).

Each year, when there is an event hosted by Stampin' Up!, we demonstrators create and donate cards to this organization and each year Stampin' Up! donates funds to the RMHC.  Some of this is from the sale of the stamp set that designers create each year specifically for this cause.

This year this set is Sprinkles of Life and I am using it in my event, Cards for a Cause.  We will make 10 cards and donate 5 that each person makes to the Ronald McDonald House families.

I'm so excited to be able to present this event and look forward to bringing a similar event again and again!

Here are the 5 designs that we will make on Saturday.  I'll post each one separately later, so you can get a better glimpse.  Love this set, love the sentiments and continuing to look for ways to improve the world around me.  Thanks, Stampin' Up!

Rainbows and Friends

Does anyone NOT like rainbows?  For me, rainbows are a sign of hope and make me smile every time I see one.  And when there is a double rainbow...oh my gosh!!  WAY COOL!!  When I saw this stamp set that the concept artists brought to fruition at #stampinup I was sure it would join my collection!!  There are many design possibilities with this set, but here is one of the more obvious ones;)  The fact that we have the Candy Dots and I could add them to my card, just makes me happy! What are you waiting for?  Create your rainbow card today!!  Love, love, love this set:)

Ships and Stars

Sometimes you want elegant, but not frilly.  What do you think about this one?

To make the background I punched a circle and placed it on my Whisper White card stock and sponged around it.  Then I took the piece from which I punched my circle and offset it slightly, to give the moon a glow and sponged again.  I used Pool Party for this and once I got the desired depth of color, I came back in and lightly sponged the glow so it wasn't too stark.

Once I finished the sky I sponged the sea in Lost Lagoon and then added my gold embossed ship from The Open Sea.  I popped up the ship and the piece the ship is adhered to with Dimensionals.

My Events

Check out my events!!

My Booth at the #Milkdonordash Event

To come together to support the #milkdonor organization was truly inspirational.  I was happy to donate my time and craft for such a worthy cause.

I met some really great people who, like me, are interested in making this world a better place.

I was a lucky mom to have my youngest daughter, Kelsey, help me with my setup.

There are so many great things to share about #stampinup it was hard to choose, but when it was all said and done, I believe I got it right!

These are some of the people who visited my booth and stamped with me.  I was stunned to find out that the majority of the people that came here today had never even heard of Stampin' Up!, let alone stamped before.  It is going to be so much fun enlightening this area of the world!

Chelsey was an amazing stamper and I can't wait to see her again!

Chocolate, Balloons and Gift Bag Punch Board

I'm prepping for my first Vendor Fair in the St. Louis area (Maplewood, to be exact) and this is one of my displays.  I love, love, love the Balloon Framelits and the photopolymer stamp set 'Lovely Amazing You'.  This Designer Series Paper (DSP) is from the new In Colors Paper Stack, and is so gorgeous!  I love this green!  It reminds me of when I was a kid and it was Christmas time...  Okay, that dates me, but that's okay!!  Every day I've lived is a day I have learned, survived, loved!

I used the new Gift Bag Punch Board to make this cutie, and to be honest with you, I thought when I saw a different punch board, "why would I need this?"

Well, I'm here to say, this is a purchase that I will treasure for a long time to come. Being able to bag gifts in this little package (actually you can make 3 sizes and this is the smallest) is the perfect way to show my family and friends that they are special to me!

I sponged the balloon in the same color as the bag DSP (Cucumber Crush) and stamped the sentiment in Chocolate Chip.
The trim for the balloon string is the new Silver Sequin Trim.  LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!

You need to give this new punch board a try!  It will make your life simpler and you will surely smile as the recipient of your gift, once again, realizes how much you care for them!!!
